Helen Rowles
Helen Norsigian Rowles was born in Illinois, to first generation American parents of Armenian descent. After moving to Arizona she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Arizona State University and was awarded a Board of Regents scholarship. She received her Masters Degree in 2008 and currently enjoys teaching studio art at the Mesa Arts Center. Helen enjoys painting and drawing but her main medium in recent years has been colored pencil. Drawing with colored pencil on wood is a medium that lends itself to bright colors and patterns, as evidenced in her work.
