Jonathan Faber was born in New Orleans in 1970. He received his BFA from Alfred University in 1994 and MFA at the University of Texas Austin in 2003. His work has been exhibited at galleries and museums throughout New York and Texas, including David Shelton Gallery, Champion Contemporary, Cue Art Foundation, Austin Museum of Art, Galveston Arts Center and the Blanton Museum of Art. Recent awards include the Pollock-Krasner Foundation in 2011, Joan Mitchell Foundation in 2003, and a three-time nominee for the Arthouse Texas Prize. Faber is currently part time Assistant Professor at Southwestern University Georgetown, TX and a lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin. Faber lives and works in Austin, TX.
