Alayne Spafford
Alayne Spafford received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with honors from the University of Saskatchewan. After studying textiles at Concordia University and the Centre de Metier d’Art en Construction Textile in Montreal, she worked for five years in the costume department of Cirque du Soleil. Now residing in Edmonton, Alberta, Alayne focuses on painting full time. In 2013, Alayne collaborated with woodworker Howard Pruden and formed Burn Design Collective, an art technique created with shou-sugi-ban (burnt cedar). Her work is represented in galleries and private collections across the world.

Andrea Pinheiro
Andrea Pinheiro works in photography, print, paint, film and installation. Weaving together elements of documentary, archival tendencies, and collecting practices with the poetics of embodied experience, Pinheiro’s work is a reflection of experience of place intertwined with consideration of the long and complex histories of objects and materials. She has exhibited across Canada and internationally and has completed residencies in Canada and abroad. She is an Associate Professor at Algoma University and is the director of 180 Projects, an exhibition space in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Pinheiro is represented by Cooper Cole Gallery in Toronto and Republic Gallery in Vancouver.

Her work has been exhibited nationally in both solo and group exhibitions, and has appeared or is forthcoming in The Broken Plate, Gravel, Barren Magazine, Montana Mouthful, Pidgeonholes, Boston Accent Lit, 2 Bridges Review, Junto Magazine, The Ginger Collect, Brave Voices Magazine, Riggwelter, and Camas, among other publications.

She studied at Escola Massana in Barcelona and when she was 16, she started working as an apprentice in Taller de Escenografia Castells Planas in St. Agnès de Malanyanes. Regarding illustration, she has never stopped experimenting. She worked as a freelancer for various clients and gradually she has been heading to the world of painting and creating her own work.

Eleanor Doughty is a Virginia-born, Seattle-based freelance artist, specializing in travel illustration and urban scenery. Graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University (BFA ’13) she has worked with companies including the Boston Globe, Hilton, Indiewalls, Marriott, VICE, and west elm, as well as many small businesses and individuals. Eleanor is at her happiest while traveling the world, sketchbook in hand—she recently completed a 2.5 month solo painting trip through Japan and Taiwan. Perhaps because she is the offspring of two cartographers, her illustration is strongly connected to place; plein air sketching is integral to this artist’s practice.

His work is constantly changing like a moving target, making it hard to pinpoint any particular genre or theme of art. His earlier works have inspired a path for many impasto acrylic painters. Much of Justin's early inspirations come from artists like Van Gogh, Jimmy Lee Sudduth, and Monet. He has since evolved and finds inspiration in artists like Louise Bourgeois who's work tapped into the subconscious, writers like Mary Oliver with her poems on nature, and scientists like Albert Einstein.

Her work has been featured online and in print, and exhibited globally.
