Sydney Cash is a versatile artist/sculptor. He has worked with glass, metal, paper and light. Much of his work has involved patterns and/or portraiture. He has had over forty one-person shows. He received a B.S. degree in mathematics from Wayne State University in Detroit. He has taught at Pratt Institute, The New Jersey City University and The Brooklyn Museum Art School. He has received fellowships from the New York Foundation for the Arts and The National Endowment for the Arts. His work is in many public collections including MoMA, Le Muse Des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, and The Corning Glass Museum. Photo by Rob Penner.
