Filippo Tagliati was born in Bologna, Italy. After earning his BA in Humanities from Universita’ di Bologna with a concentration in Semiotics and Art History, he moved to the USA and he received his MFA in Photography from Arizona State University. Currently Tagliati lives and works in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA where he is an Associate Professor in the Visual Arts Department at the Grand Rapids Community College. Tagliati’s last projects are at the intersection of photography and video. He creates short non-narrative video installation related to the urban landscape and in the way we perceived it.
