melissa m button is an artist whose work is influenced both by her early studies in architecture, and her extensive travels abroad. Her recent work brings together a mix of processes that seek to blur the boundaries of traditional labels. The use of printmaking techniques such as screen printing, collagraphy, and photographic transfers are integrated into the surface of the paper which are then drawn, collaged, and sewn into. Her work has been shown throughout the US and in China. Currently she is a Lecturer in the Painting and Drawing department at Arizona State University. She is represented by Tilt Gallery in Scottsdale, AZ.
